I really genuinely cried at the finale of Vampire Diaries, and this moment when Alaric was dying and Damon realised that Elena must be dead, tugged at my heart strings. Ian Somerholder is actually a very good actor, his emotions are portrayed great in this series and this season finale was the most emotional in my opinion, really really great performances and genuinely emotional. The wait for season 4 is going to be painful, but like every series of VD I’ve waited for, it’s all been worth it.
